You are part of the Kitty Katship Catstronaut crew that has successfully landed on The Moon. There have been some reports from The International Cat Space Station that some curious fluffy creatures have been causing problems. Blast off on my home made Katship and discover how quickly our fuzzy friends The Floofies are taking over. How long will it be till they can form a circle around the moon? Or create a chain all the way to the earth? When will our oceans be full of Floofies? And how can we get them back under control. Learners will have to solve puzzles presented on slides and use math skills to solve the mystery. This class is pre-recorded with opportunities to pause (paws) the video to work out the solutions to the problems. Become a Kitty Kat Detective and blast off with Detective Kitty and find your mission at The International Cat Space Station. Meet the Floofies and learn their rules. Can you complete the multiplying challenge to find out which Floofie will be in control after an hour. Lesson 2:
Floofies taking over: Exponential Growth
What happens in the next hour? An exploration of exponential growth. How long will it be before the Floofies form a chain all the way to Earth? Lesson 3:
Cats taking back control: Divide and Conquer
You find a secret document that has the rules different Floofies require to reduce in number... Can you get the Floofies back under control? Other Details

Pre-Requisites
An understanding of place value up to 10,000. It will take you way beyond too!
Adding large numbers.
A basic knowledge of the multiplication tables up to 12 x 12.
Supply List
