Class Experience
In this 12 week course, students are able to master their multiplication facts 1-12. Multiplication is an important math skill that students will continue to build upon as they continue their education. Being able to have their multiplication facts memorized and second nature will prove to be important as your students math education grows. Each week we will focus on a specific multiplication fact group (0's, 1's, 2's, etc) for the first 15-20 minutes of class. Then at the end of class we...
Students will improve upon their ability to memorize multiplication facts 1-12.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education as well as a TESOL minor. I have been teaching for the last seven years. I have taught preschool through 5th grade. I have taught grades 3, 4 and 5 for 4 years with very specific experience teaching math. I have been recognized by my district in my math teaching strategies and have been teaching other teachers those strategies for the last 4 years.
There is no assigned homework for this class. But continuing to practice multiplication facts outside of class time will help your learner be successful.
- some classes my require a pdf to be printed before hand (this will be posted to the class before hand if needed) - paper and pencil/whiteboard and marker - access to website for math game (this will be posted to the class before hand if needed)
Students will be assess informally based on students engagement and participation.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
Some classes will require students to have access to third party apps or web browsers to play the math game for that day. Those sites are listed under "Material". I will post before class which specific site we will be using for that day.
