Multiplication Camp! Keep Multiplying Through the Summer! 2nd and 3rd Grade
In this 2 week multiplication camp, we will refresh and expand our multiplication skills so that we are ready to take on math in the fall! We will focus not only on multiplication facts, but strategies to solve as well.

I believe strongly that students learn best in math by exploring various strategies and then deciding what works best for them. In this class, we will do just that as we work to strengthen our multiplication skills during this 2 week long camp. We will meet a total of 4 times, for 45 minutes each class.
We will practice multiplying with all numbers through 11, as well as various strategies to solve such as equal grouping, repeated addition, and multiplication arrays)

Our 2 weeks will go as follows:
Week 1
Day 1: Focusing on 2's, 5's and 10's + equal grouping and repeated addition
Day 2: Focusing on 3's, 4's and 6's + multiplication arrays
Week 2
Day 1: Focusing on 7's, 8's and 9's + exploration of all strategies
Day 2: Review of all numbers + 11 and continued exploration of all strategiesOther Details
Supply List
Students will need to have a small handheld white board and marker OR pencil and paper. We will also have worksheets to print out that will be posted in the classroom.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
