US Grade 3 - 5
It is so important for kids to know their times tables. This class encourages them to learn their facts with a fun, friendly competition. Students are expected to know most of their multiplication facts since this is a review game. Students will log into blooket.com/play, add the game pin, create a nickname and then play in a friendly competition. This game will include facts up to the 12's table. I will provide a times table printable for students. I recommend printing it out ahead of time so that they can review it before game day! Students do not need a different device to play this game. However, if they want to play using their phone or tablet so that they can see the leaderboard, they can. This game is a different type of competition. Students work independently to solve problems (each student sees different questions). They earn points as they answer correctly, but the game adds some extras. You can select to cause a "glitch" for the other players or get things to make your score higher. Not only will they be reviewing their multiplication tables, but they will get to strategize. Kids have so much fun playing Blooket!

Parental Guidance
Students will be going to blooket.com/play in order to play the game. I will be sharing a link to the game a few minutes before class. They will click on the link and will be prompted to enter a nickname. If they choose to go to the site blooket.com/play instead of clicking on the link, they will need to enter a code. Once they enter the code, they will be able to enter a nickname and join the game.
Supply List
I will provide students with a copy of the times tables for them to study prior to the game and some tips and tricks.

Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to visit my virtual classroom. I am a certified teacher offering classes in Spanish, English as a Second Language, Reading, and elementary school subjects and crochet. If you would like me to work with your child, please don't hesitate to reach out! I look forward to meeting you and your child.
When I was in high school, I had an opportunity to internship at an elementary school and from that moment I fell in love with education. I went on to get my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and have been teaching ever since. I started out in the regular elementary classroom and then had opportunities to teach Spanish, Reading and English as a Second Language.
I love helping children grow as learners. It gives me great joy to see them learn and achieve their goals. There is nothing better than working with a struggling reader and hearing them say "I can read this!" I believe that children learn best when they are having fun, and feel safe. It is my goal to make each child feel this way. I want them to know that they matter to me.
I was born in Venezuela and moved to the states at the age of 10. This has helped me connect with my ESL students in the past because I understand what they are going through. In Venezuela they speak Spanish, which is why I feel comfortable teaching Spanish to young learners. I have 3 kids and I decided to work from home so that I could enjoy as much of my time with them as possible. Time flies and I want to continue working in education and encouraging children to find a love of learning.
