Join other learners to play a team game while practicing your multiplication facts. The class will begin with a quick welcome and explanation of rules. The group will divide into two teams, crew members and imposters. The learners will need to solve multiplication problems quickly to earn points to investigate other players or call meetings to find the imposters on their spaceship before time is up. At the meetings, learners will share their findings and then everyone will vote for the likely imposter. Learners must answer multiplication facts as quickly as they can to earn points to help their team win the game. This class will focus on multiplication facts in the 7-8-9-10-11-12 groups. Learners will need to access an additional website to join the game. Younger students might need parental assistance to get started, The game link will be shared in the classroom and in the zoom chat box. This class will only run if the minimum number of players (4) is met.

Hi, I specialize in teaching reading. It is my passion to introduce students to books and develop a love for reading in kids of all ages. I have a masters degree in education from Columbia University's Teachers College and a special education certificate in special education from Brooklyn College in New York City. I have worked as a peer tutor, as a test prep tutor, and as an Orton-Gillingham tutor, helping students overcome various reading difficulties to achieve their goals. I also worked as a reading teacher and a special education teacher at a title 1 charter school in NYC. I believe that every child has the potential to become an avid reader, we just have to ignite their passion and build their skills in an individualized way. I recently moved from NYC to live near the ocean. My hobbies include going to the beach, traveling, playing tennis, and or course READING!
