Class Experience

In this class, students will learn how to solve times tables 0-12. This is a beginning level multiplication class. Students are encouraged to be as active as they feel comfortable being. Students can comment on video, post pictures, or post videos to show understanding. You could also have the learner explain to or teach someone how to solve the problems to show understanding. This class has 6 lessons, student are able to go at their own pace. If students do one lesson a week it will take them 6 weeks to complete the course. Students are able to ask questions at any time by sending a message to me through the classroom page. Students will also get feed back on any work that they turn in. Feedback will be posted within 24 hours.

Lesson 1:

Groups and Arrays

 During the first week of class, we will practice using groups and arrays to solve multiplication equations. Students will receive a video and problems to solve. Students can post a video of themselves solving and explaining how to solve the problems.

Multiplication Properties

 We will learn about the Zero Property, Identity Property, Commutative Property and Distributive Property. Students will receive a video and problems to solve. Students can post a video of themselves solving and explaining how to solve the problems.

Lesson 3:

Skip Counting by 2's, 3's, 5's and 10's

 We will practice skip counting by 2's and 3's to help use solve equations. Students will receive a video and problems to solve. Students can post a video of themselves solving and explaining how to solve the problems.

9's and 11's Tricks

 Students will learn tricks to solve the 9's and 11's times tables. Students will receive a video and problems to solve. Students can post a video of themselves solving and explaining how to solve the problems.
