MULTIPLE SESSIONS
Does your child need a quick half hour math session?
This is the class your learner needs to take.

Student will have one on one access to tutor for a 30 minute session in order to address student's individual needs. Tutoring will consist of help with homework, worksheets or any math lesson the student needs help with. Student may bring work to class or can be provided by teacher.

Any math lesson anywhere from 3rd grade through PRE- ALGEBRA is welcome, if there is no specific assignment I can also provide an assignment based on learner's needs.

Sample topics that can be covered include but not limited to:
Concept of Multiplication
Concept of Division
Area and Perimeter
Area of Quadrilaterals Including Rectangles, Parallelograms, Trapezoids and More
Surface Area of 3D Shapes including Spheres, Cones, Pyramids, Prisms
Volume of 3D shapes
Linear equations
Slope and Y-intercept of a Linear Function
Functions
Non Functions
Prime Numbers
Prime Factorization
Arithmetic
Computation
Geometry
Data Analysis
Financial Literacy
Any of these topics may include word problems as well.

My teaching style consists of identifying the problem or problems interfering with the student's learner then my job is to create a plan or strategy that simplifies the work for the student as much as possible. When I feel that the student is really understanding the material I make sure to ask the students questions related to the lesson of the day.
At the end of the lesson I quickly ask same/similar questions that can be answered verbally to check for understanding.
Learning Goals
The goal of this lesson is to simplify the lesson as far as the student needs it and address any misconceptions along the way.

Math can seem difficult at times, as a former classroom teacher I understand that students don't always learn in a regular classroom or group setting, that is where private tutoring comes in. I have the patience and expertise to address your child's needs. I have been private tutoring for more than 9 years with students from Elementary to College Level and I have learned that everyone learns in a particular way and pace. I identify the weakness of every student and make a way to transform that into their strength.
