Description

Class Experience

This is an 8 week class, meeting once a week for middle school students needing help in developing strategies in solving multi-step math word problems.   Middle school level math word problems can contain topics such as money, time, and unit measurements,  along with one  or more of the four arithmetic operations that we need to extract.  Math word problems are challenging, so I will present various means to tackle them. 

Word problem topics:
Week 1:  Money
Week 2:  Food
Week 3:  Length,...

 To solve word problems by breaking down the problem into steps

None is assigned.

Notebook or paper and pencil.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Classkick

 Checks for understanding will be asked.

55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

We will use Classkick website for class.
