Class Experience
In this class your child will be taught their CVC words, blends, and digraphs using the Orton Gillingham multi-sensory approach to learning. Students will learn how to listen for the sound, read it within a word, write it down, and find it within a text. This class is a good fit for students who know all of their basic letters and sounds A-Z but are still working on blending together sounds to read short words. Students will learn to read and write one new phonics skill per class.
Upon request students will be given additional resources to help them review this skill after the LIVE lesson is over.
In every class, students will be given a tailored printable worksheet that connects with the skill that is taught. This worksheet will be posted in the classroom 24 hours before the class starts. The following list of supplies will be needed by all students every week. Supply List -Attached Printable (Available 24hrs before the class) -Pencil -Crayons -Whiteboard -Expo Marker
Students will be informally assessed during this lesson.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
