Use multi-sensory techniques to learn to read, write, and spell sight words for 2nd grade students. Students will use kinesthetic, auditory, and visual techniques to help them memorize high frequency words.
Class experience
US Grade 2
During this lesson, students will use at least 5 multi-sensory techniques to help them memorize the spelling of sight words. Sight words are also known as high frequency words, trick words, popcorn words, and red words. These words do not follow the common spelling patterns of the english language, and students often benefit from memorizing these words. Students will be engaged with one another and be able to share their work as they learn to read, write, and spell the words of the day....
Students will be able to read, write, and spell sight words.
Students will use markers, crayons, paper, dry erase board and markers, water color paints(can be submitted for other art materials), clay or play-doh, and dice (can use teacher dice if not available in person).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
