We will research and write a multi-paragraph report tor a country your child chooses in Europe.

Class Experience

In this class, I will model how I write a multi-paragraph report and then each student will get to choose their own country and write a multi-paragraph report. We will research our countries, create an outline, and write the paragraphs to go with that outline. During paragraph construction, I will work with your child on grammar, mechanics, conventions, and spelling. The skills we work on will be directly based on your child's individual needs. -Research a European country
-Create an outline for their country
-Write paragraphs based on the outline

If desired, I will provide an additional writing prompt they can complete for practice. I am happy to check their writing practice by the time the next class meets and provide feedback and progress towards writing goals.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Every Child a Writer

Each child will be given a proficiency validation plan that will show their progress towards the learning goals based on their completion of an independent draft.

1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

We will use  Every Child a Writer curriculum and strategies for this class.
