Class Experience

US Grade 2
Come and join us for this fun Spring Camp Grade 2 Math!

I will share my screen so we can work together with worksheets, games, and lesson plans that can help students practice this Common Core State Standards skill.

Day 1: Game - Bubble Buster: Addition to 10

This bubble buster game helps students to practice their skills with addition to 10. Students are asked to touch two numbers to make 10 as quickly as possible, graduating to more challenging levels as they play. Learning addition within 10 is crucial to gaining math fluency, which is especially the focus in first grade.

Day 2: Game - Odd and Even Numbers Cloud Catcher

Odd and even numbers take center stage in this high-flying cloud catcher game where children help Tutu turn clouds into rainbows! Learners will listen to each prompt and select all of the odd or even-numbered clouds as they float by, As they play, second graders will learn to recognize odd and even number patterns. This activity will also help your child with tackling whole number operations.

Day 3: Game - Bar Graphing with Roly

What do germs have to do with graphing? When you're playing this game...plenty! Help Roly get better by trapping his cold germs, then counting up the total in a bar graph. Not only a silly story that almost every kid can relate to, but this game is also a way of collecting and organizing data that will be understandable to second graders and third graders.

Day 4: Set the Clock: Time to 5 Minutes

Set the clock for sleepy Floyd in this online game that works on telling time. In it, second graders can find the time that Floyd has meant to set his alarm for and set the hands to match. By telling time to the nearest five minutes, they'll help Floyd get up in time for his busy day.

Day 5: Measure Buildings with Super Floyd

Super Floyd to the rescue! In this beautifully illustrated measurement game, kids must use a ruler to identify buildings and help Super Floyd save the day. Kids rely on visual estimation skills and their ability to read a ruler to answer each question correctly.

Day 6: Ordering Lengths and Heights

Learn the basics of measurement in this wild, wacky measuring game! Sort animals, aliens, and people from shortest to longest and longest to shortest.

Day 7: Telling Time Quiz

This telling time quiz is a terrific way to get second graders started on telling time to the nearest five minutes. In this fast-paced game, kids can spot the clock that's telling the time listed at the top of the game board. With narration to help them along, this interactive game is a math worksheet that comes to life.

Day 8: Candy Shop Arrays

Yum, candy! Make multiplication a little sweeter with this candy shop array. By listening to the narrator, second graders can find candy jars containing the correct multiplication array. To do so, they'll count rows and columns, gaining an understanding of one-digit multiplication in the process. Also great for third graders, this math game is a tasty way for kids to practice multiplication.
