In this 4-class course, we will be learning some of the basics of acrylic painting, and painting a different fall-themed painting each week! In this easy, no-experience-needed class, I will be painting right along with you to show you the techniques and walk you step by step through the acrylic painting process. Learners will have the opportunity to express their creativity through art & acrylic painting. Acrylic paints, brushes, and a canvas will be needed for this class. Please see the supply list for all the details. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CLASS OUTLINE Week 1: Jack-O-Lantern We will paint a pumpkin together and each student can be creative and create their own jack-o-lantern face design! We will be completing a pretty fall tree painting and focus on creating some texture with our brushstrokes. Week 2: Pumpkin Stack We will paint a cute pumpkin stack, and work on blending. Week 3: Fall Trees We will be completing a pretty fall tree painting and focus on creating some texture with our brushstrokes. Week 4: Fall Cat We will create our fall cat together and learn about using a pencil to create outlines before painting. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ REFUND POLICY This class follows Outschool's refund policy - Full refund until a week in advance, or within 24 hours of purchase (until class starts), then a 75% refund within the first week.
Learning Goals
My mission for all of my classes is that every learner has the opportunity to be creative. I believe creativity is so important, and I want to give students the chance to express themselves in a safe and comfortable environment. The goal is for each student in this particular class to learn about acrylic techniques and brushes to gain the confidence to create their own amazing artwork at home.

Parental Guidance
Acrylic paints can be hard to get off of furniture and out of clothing. Please make sure students have a space to work that is ok to get a bit messy. I recommend wearing old clothes that you won't mind if they get a little paint on them. Acrylic does come off of hair and skin with just a little soap and water.
Supply List
Learners will need a couple of supplies for painting. If you already have some supplies feel free to use what you have! You WILL need paints, brushes, and something to paint on to complete this class. A set of paints is nice to have but not required. A set with larger tubes is great if you are doing multiple classes. I use white, black, yellow, red, orange, brown, and green paints to complete all of my paintings. Before each class, I will post a message in the classroom with specific colors needed for that week's paintings. On most class days learners will have the option to choose their own colors. A set of brushes is also a great idea to experiment and learn about different brush sizes and shapes! The brush set linked, is my favorite sizes and shapes. You might already have some at home!
