My personal teaching style is to create a warm and encouraging environment where brainstorming and constructive criticism can comfortably take place. When I was in high school I had a creative writing teacher who changed the course of my life. He truly believed in us, and showed us that writing is full of possibilities!

Having support and feedback like that from a teacher has an incredible effect on confidence. It allows you to comfortably take chances and have fun with your writing, which in turn helps you grow into the writer you are meant to be! My goal is to encourage my students as they learn new ways to approach their drafting, writing, and editing process.
