Class Experience

An hour with Miss Markesha will began with a welcome song/music, followed by mindfulness activities, math, language arts, creative expression and closing read aloud. The activities and assignments will be done as a class and each learner will have an opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas. My teaching style allows students to be expressive and make space for each student to thrive at their individual levels while maintaining a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum. A special slide deck will be created for each class that will encourage the students to follow along and participate as a group.

This is a multi-cultural curriculum and literature/activities will be introduced during each session. Below is a sketch of what will be covered daily. We begin class with mindfulness and end with a creative expression activity.
Week of December 20: Cultural topics, the alphabet, story time, and have fun building a safe community for the coming week.
Week of December 27: Talk about family and cultural traditions during holidays.

Themed Sessions for holidays and various traditions celebrated throughout the world.
