Class Experience

-	Correctly place positive and negative numbers on a number line (including integers and rational numbers)
-	Use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with negative numbers
As a public school math teacher, I have many hours of experience in coaching learners on how to be successful in math. I have helped learners prepare for standardized and classroom testing, as well as provided many hours of private tutoring. I have also taught many learners on Outschool, with highly positive reviews and feedback.
Learners will be given homework after each class session. Homework will not be collected but is provided as extra practice. Parents/Family are encouraged to use the provided Answer Key to check learner progress. Time will be given at the start of each lesson to ask questions about homework problems, this time will be limited to the first 5 minutes of class. There will be time for further review and discussion of homework and other practice problems during the final session. Estimated time to complete each homework assignment is 20 – 45 minutes, depending on learner’s level of math competency.
Please check the Classroom page prior to each session to download class materials and homework PDFs. These can be printed and used as interactive notes and practice worksheets, or simply as an on-screen guide as we go through each lesson. Learners should have a way to take notes and work out problems, and a calculator to check their work.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Please check specific dates for each listed section. Some sections are affected by holidays or planned vacations and may skip a week. When this happens classes will resume the following week.

Please ensure your learner has access to the Class Materials and Homework PDFs for each lesson. Each learner should have these documents either printed out, or available on a screen. Each student should have a way to take notes and solve practice problems. Please check the Classroom page 2 days after each lesson for the Answer Key PDF.
