Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi!
I'm Ms. Rachel! I enjoy teaching early childhood education classes in fun and engaging ways!
I also teach life skill classes to all ages of children - such as learning to connect to your community, leadership and preparing for the future.
I absolutely love working with children of all ages! I love making the learning experience for children as engaging and fun as possible and I believe learning through play is crucial because it fosters the development of a child’s ideas, concepts and methods. I have always been dedicated to making sure that the children that I am working with are provided with stimulating and engaging activities/materials to help foster educational play in a variety of manners to meet their diverse needs.
I have my Bachelor of Arts with a double major in History and Psychology and a Bachelor of Education with a Concentration in Early Childhood Education. My husband and I own and operate a school-age child care program with four locations across our province.
I'm married to my best friend and business partner, Luke, and we have three beautiful children. I homeschool my young children and we have a lot of fun together!
I'm also the Children's Ministry Director at my church and love coordinating children's events for my church and community!
Something fun about me is that my favourite sport is dodgeball and I have played in provincial tournaments (before I had children, of course!) and I hope to get back into it one day!
I can’t wait for your child to join me in my classroom!
