Starting a business is an exciting challenge! Whether selling your favorite products online or offering a lawn care service to the neighbors, the path to get started and thrive is surprisingly similar. In my 15-year career working with startups I've learned a lot, and perhaps the most important lesson has been that in order find success we need to have a network of supportive people behind us. The purpose of this club is to build just that - - a support network of young entrepreneurial...
The world of entrepreneurship is something I've been passionate about since I was a young adult. In fact, my favorite class at business school was entrepreneurship, where I was inspired by the determination and drive of my mentor entrepreneurs. Since that moment over 15 years ago, I've been fortunate to work side by side with startup leaders in revolutionary industries like technology and video production...and, I've even started businesses of my own! This experience has given me valuable insight into the unique combination of skills it takes for an entrepreneur to be successful. I now work as a business consultant to startup teams around the world, helping them develop strategies to grown and manage their businesses. As part of my personal commitment to give back to our youth, I'm excited to share my knowledge and support with budding entrepreneurs in the Outschool community! MORE ABOUT ME: I hold a B.S. in Business Management with comprehensive business experience across multiple disciplines. Over the course of my career, I've had the opportunity to manage projects in exciting industries like video production and technology development! I now provide project management coaching and strategic consulting to teams around the world. My love for this work runs deep as is evident in my YouTube channel, where I share project leadership tips and techniques. As a mentor, I'm proud to be a support to young females entering the tech industry, and recently celebrated one of my mentees being hired into a dream job at Meta! In my community, I serve as Secretary and board member of our local Main Street organization, where we lead initiatives that serve both our youth and entrepreneurial community. And most importantly, in my personal life, I am the proud mother to an elementary aged child who loves learning as much as I do!
