Class Experience

In this class we will be reading the book Sully the Seahorse: A book about self-esteem and resilience, written by Natalie Pritchard. Sully is a seahorse that wants to win a race.  Sully becomes discouraged when he loses the race.  Along the way, Sully learns how losing or making a mistake is ok, we are all unique. Your child will:
* Gain an understanding of the story through comprehension questions.  
* Improve on listening skills, turn taking, patience, emotional regulation.
* Improve punctuation and sentence structure.
* Practice fine motor control, hand eye coordination. 
* Increase vocabulary and phonic awareness.

A handout will be provided.
Please bring pencils and crayons to class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
