Class Experience
In this class we will be reading the book Punk The Skunk Learns To Say Sorry, written by Misty Black. Punk is a skunk that teases his friends and hurts their feelings. Along the way, Punk learns to say sorry for his actions. I will read the story aloud engaging your child during reading, by asking him or her several comprehension questions. Please read the class description to make sure this class is a good fit for your child. For example: * Why do you think that happened? * What do you...
Your child will: * Gain an understanding of the story through comprehension questions. * Improve on listening skills, turn taking, patience, emotional regulation. * Improve punctuation and sentence structure. * Practice fine motor control, hand eye coordination. * Increase vocabulary and phonic awareness. * Recognize when your child has done something wrong. * Recognizing empathy. * How to say sorry.
* Hand out, crayons or makers and pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
