In this engaging fourth grade course students will practice addition and subtraction within 5 digit numbers, with and without regrouping. Following the lesson, we will play a fun game to support learning in the mathematics curriculum.

Grade 4 Addition and Subtraction This unit’s focus is on addition and subtraction within 5 digit numbers with and without regrouping. Lessons will be displayed using powerpoint or google slides. Students are encouraged to use manipulatives throughout the unit. I will include a paper copy of manipulatives. Students should be able to add and subtract 3 digit by 3 digit numbers before taking this class. Students will also need an understanding of multiplication and division as our warm ups...
