In this engaging third grade course students will learn to tell time to the nearest minute and elapsed time. Following the lesson, we will play a fun class game or activity to support learning in the mathematics curriculum.
Class experience
US Grade 3
This Grade 3 Telling Time unit’s focus is on students practicing telling time to the nearest minute and elapsed time. Lessons will be displayed using powerpoint or google slides. Students should have a good understanding of skip counting concepts taking this course. Students are encouraged to use the manipulative mats throughout the unit. I will include a paper copy of manipulatives. Please take a look at the following description below to see if this class is a good fit for your learner....
*Turn taking *Practice telling time to the hour, half hour, quarter after, quarter to, nearest minute and elapsed time *Practice solving word problems *Practice skip counting
