Class Experience

Learning Goals:
Number sense fluency
Turn taking
Addition/Multiplication facts
Investigate finding area by the number of square units
Connecting addition and multiplication to find the area 
Investigating the area of composite shapes 
Investigating perimeter of polygons
Each student is unique and may require extra time outside of class to complete work.
Extension activity is provided.  This is optional to help support student’s learning outside of class.  These are not evaluated by me.
Materials: Worksheets will be provided Pencil, eraser, glue, ruler Scissors - please note students should be supervised when using scissors. Students may need to cut out manipulatives or part of a worksheet before class. Students may need to use scissors during class for an activity. Paper or whiteboard Dice for some of the games Manipulatives - paper manipulatives to print/counters or something to represent counters.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
