US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 4
This is a one on one private tutoring class to help students succeed who are struggling with the foundational reading skills. Students will be assessed and based on their individual needs a plan will be developed to focus on those skills that they need the most help with. Once a plan has been developed we will work in 5 main areas (sight words/phonemic awareness/phonics/comprehension skills/fluency). My approach to tutoring is very hands on and engaging. I use a variety of materials such as videos/songs/whiteboards/flashcards/games and magnetic letters.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Reading and Writing.
I use an Orton Gillingham based approach in all of my tutoring sessions which is very explicit and systematic.
I use a lot of hands on engaging activities that activate all of the senses
