Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
For the student to learn IEW stylistic techniques. For the students to be able to ask questions and apply the answers in an outline. For the student to understand the story sequence chart. For the student to create narrative stories. For the student to create stories with a little less stress.
My experience with IEW expands over twenty-five years of teaching the curriculum in co-ops, my home, and privately to students. Above all, I have attended IEW seminars in person and online.
The student will be required to create a story sequence outline for a story, retell the story from the outline, write a rough draft, and complete a final typed paper of the story. Stories will be read, outlined, and rewritten with stylistic techniques. Amount of time spent writing and rewriting a story will depend on the student. However, I estimate 1-2 hours a week working on a story.
Student Packet provided by teacher Notebook paper (wide rule if possible) Ink pens (two different colors) Access to a word processing program.
The student will submit their final typed story to the teacher each week by email. The teacher will review the story and provide written and/or oral discussion with the student.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
