Hello parents, guardians, and learners! In these sessions learners will be learning audience etiquette, basic ukulele chords, parts of a ukulele, some ukulele facts, string names, and nursery rhyme songs. This class is an introductory class for beginning ukulele players. No prior knowledge is needed. I will be using my own Google Slides to assist in teaching my sessions to learners. We will be engaged back and forth between the Google Slides and the live screen. ***You will need a ukulele....
By the end of the four day sessions: --Learners will be familiar with playing and transitioning between four basic ukulele chords: C, G, F, A minor. --Learners will remember standard ukulele string names using the acronym "GCEA" or "Giraffe's Can Eat Apples". --Learners will play at least 3 beginner songs or more on the ukulele. --Learners will know how to tune their ukulele on their own.
Learners are recommended to practice the chords, string names, and songs everyday for at least 10-15 minutes. To get the best result out of a class like this, it is best to practice the ukulele skills learned in our sessions as often as possible. This way the learner can grow better at the ukulele every day.
1 file available upon enrollmentLearners will need a ukulele, tuning app, and a positive, can-do attitude. I have provided the PDF of songs and chords needed. (In the welcome post on classroom page and welcome email) Be ready to have fun!
I will be visually assessing the students techniques through the screen and by hearing the sound as they play.
3 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
I have provided a PDF. This PDF includes ukulele parts and string names as well as the chord hand positions for C, G, F, and A minor. It also has the songs to be learned in the sessions. Extra songs and more chords are included. (In the welcome post on classroom page and welcome email) In the materials section, I included online tuning links for the ukulele. I will be using my own Google slides to help assist in my sessions.
