Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 5
Intermediate Level
In this class students will be able to practice their understanding of the different parts of speech; adjectives, adverbs, nouns, and verbs. A brainstorm list of the Mad Lib words needed will be posted on the day before class. Students will have the option of preparing words before class starts. However this is not required as time will be set aside during class for brainstorming words together. Not only will students become more proficient in identifying the part of speech of individual words, but they will also increase their vocabulary - which is a win for both reading and writing skills.

Here's what the class will look like:
*Welcome
*Short Game: "Would You Rather?" or "Pick Three"
*Brainstorm Mad Lib Words: Students may use thesaurus or dictionary to add words.
*Read the Mad Lib: We will read and react to the story as a class
*Repeat (Optional): If time allows we will repeat with other Mad Lib stories.
*Discussion: Which story was the funniest, dumbest, weirdest, craziest, etc.

Students can sign up for one or multiple classes. My teaching style is fun and engaging. Learners are treated with smiles, laughter and encouraging words.

Can't wait to see you in Mrs. Mace's Marvelous Mad Libs class!
