Some students get so excited and so proud with what they learning that they just HAVE to show me what they have done. I will gladly take a quick look at their hard work, but I will not take a grade. No grades... No tears...Just good old fashioned fun! The parents sitting with their student just off camera can see if their student is picking up on the skill. I do not do formal or informal assessments of the students progress.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
For my 3 and 4 your old's, I recommend parents sit next to their children just off camera to help make sure they have the right page, stay on task, and to keep them seated and quiet. I love a child's response. We just need to keep talking to a minimum. This class does use external sources. I use Google Slides and YouTube videos in my presentations. All slides and videos are rated G. This resource will only be used as a screen-share.
I used resources from Deanna Jump for this class. Books we read will change every week.
