Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner Level
In this ongoing class, we will create whimsical acrylic paintings inspired by the seasons and holidays! This class will be step-by-step as I will provide clear and precise instruction on how to paint the subject. I will begin class by showing the learners an exemplar that I did. We will do a quick "supply check" before we begin each class. This class is also a social class, so students are encouraged to talk and to interact with other learners and with me! :) We will learn different...
Students will learn how to mix and apply paint to a canvas. Not only will students learn painting techniques, such as blending, shading, highlighting, drybrush, etc., but they will learn some basic drawing skills as well!
Homework Offered
If students do not finish the painting in class, they can finish it outside of class. Students are encouraged to post a picture of the finished painting to the classroom! :)Assessments Offered

0Canvas or canvas board of any size. Acrylic paints (red, blue, green, yellow, black, white, orange, brown, violet). On Monday of that week, I will also post in the classroom what specific colors the students will need. Paintbrushes of various sizes. White chalk. Cup. Water. Paper towels. Hair dryer (for drying paint faster on the canvas). Palette, palette paper or paper dish. Pencil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
