Class Experience

The is not an instructional class. It is a recital to show off what your child has learned. (However, there's much learning taking place)
(goal focused, recognition, successful feeling, conquering nerves, a sense of belonging, learning to regain control after a mistake, getting excited for next level songs, community, and more)
I have enjoyed having all the students in my class. I love getting to know their personality. It's exciting when you see the student beam with pride, when they get the difficult parts or can play a song well. Learning piano is so much more than we give it credit for; it is an exercise workout for our brain hemispheres to communicate. (The left hand plays something that is totally different than the from the right hand.) Learning to play the piano triggers auditory, visual, and motor skills. They say it makes remembering new information easier. Thank you for investing in your child, a skill that will last forever. I hope this date, fits in all of your schedules this summer.

Learning Goals

- To play in front of an audience, reminds students the gains they have made through practicing
- To learn from others that they see playing; look forward to playing more advanced levels
- To help the student with self confidence ( feel successful)
- A recital gives students a goal to work toward
- Recitals give students recognition for their hard work.
- Shows your child, your family values their music
- Early experience with an audience helps conquer nerves.
- Recitals help your child feel like they belong to a community with similar interests.
- Recitals help teach children to recover from mistakes easily and smoothly
