Learners will need a copy of the book called "The Boxcar Children" by Gertrude Chandler Warner. This is the first book in the series(the second book in the series is called "Surprise Island" and learners may want to have this book on hand as well, just in case they are raring to read the next one after our course ends!!). The "Boxcar Children" book by Gertrude Chandler Warner should be readily available at your local libraries or you may easily purchase it online as well. Here is a link to if you would like to purchase this book for your child and is the same one I will be using during our meeting times: https://www.amazon.com/Boxcar-Children-No-Mysteries/dp/0807508527/ref=sr_1_3?adgrpid=1333708171460323&hvadid=83356999524496&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=43899&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvtargid=kwd-83357111478382%3Aloc-190&hydadcr=16846_13420120&keywords=boxcar+children+first+book&qid=1667171555&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIwLjAwIiwicXNhIjoiMC4wMCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%3D%3D&sr=8-3
