The lesson will always be structured by the gradual release of responsibility model: teacher instruction, guided practice, and independent work. The teacher will differentiate instruction by scaffolding as much or as little as necessary as the student builds independence with the learning objective and will encourage higher order thinking in addition to teaching the correct answer.
