This 5-week course will study the Newberry Honor book "Mr. Popper's Penguins" by Richard & Florence Atwater. Students will be engaged in literature discussions and fun plot extensions while learning about this well-loved children's classic!

Class Experience
I studied this beloved classic with my own homeschooled children last year and we had a lot of fun with it! This book is so rich in literacy elements and provides so many interesting rabbit holes that we enjoyed every minute of our English work with this curriculum. I have curated a list from many different teaching resources, unique ideas, and inspiration from my children's learning experiences to create this course. I am excited to bring our love for "Mr. Popper's Penguins" to your child as well!
