When I was growing up, we traveled a lot, and I always looked forward to a new trip because my mother would buy a new stack of books for me. I would sit for hours in the back seat of our car and read. Whenever I ran out of books to read, I would read the billboards and every highway sign very loudly. That was rather tedious for my parents, so I'm sure that's why they always made sure I had plenty of books to read! Combine my love of reading with my experience as a reading teacher and my masters in Curriculum and Instruction, and I believe you'll find that I'm prepared and pumped-up to help your student's reading experience be the best it can be!
Homework Offered
Students will have weekly reading assignments. They should be prepared to discuss the content during our sessions. They will be given vocabulary and fluency activities, and a culminating project (due final week).1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
