This multi-day class will meet 8 times. The participants will read 3 chapters of the beloved Newberry Honor book each week outside of class and meet in our virtual classroom once a week to discuss what we have read.
Class experience
Mr. Popper's Penguins is a classic and beloved award-winning children's book about a family who adopts and lives with a group of penguins in their house. It is hilarious and heartwarming. Each week the children in this class will be reading 3 chapters of Mr. Popper's Penguins outside of class. When we meet virtually during our scheduled class time, we will discuss what we have read. We will talk about the characters, plot, setting, and I will ask questions to check the children's...
* Required book: Mr. Popper's Penguins by Richard and Florence Atwater (new copies are available at bookstores for $8 - $10. You can also get used copies on ebay.com for around $4.00.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
