In this ongoing class it is always a surprise what science you will find as every class has a different theme. This class will be highly interactive and students will be encouraged to participate and ask questions. Class will begin with a warm up and an opportunity for the students to be creative.Then there will be a discussion where students will have the chance to interact with each other and myself. Finally, at the end of each class there will be a review game to help students master the material. Topics include Monday 10/11- Science of the Moon- Origin of the Moon, Conditions on the Moon, Why does the Moon have Phases? Thursday 10/14 Plate Tectonics and Volcanoes- How do the plates move and how do volcanoes for? Monday 10/18 Bacteria and Viruses- What is a virus? What is a bacteria? Thursday 10/21 Phases of Matter- What is a solid, a liquid and a gas? Monday 10/25 Dinosaurs- What kinds of creatures roamed the Earth long ago? Thursday 10/28 Seasons- Why do we have seasons? Monday 11/1 Electricity- Where does electricity come from? Thursday 11/5 Reptiles- What makes an animal a reptile?

I have a Master's in Liberal Arts from St. John's College. I worked as Assistant to the Director of Laboratory Science at St. John's for 5 years and I have been a high school science teacher for the last 13 years. The last eight years I have taught Astronomy and Physics to well over 2000 students.
