This is an ongoing class that meets twice a week to ask questions and explore different science topics for younger students. It is a great way to introduce students to science topics they may not have thought about before.

Class Experience

In this ongoing class it is always a surprise what science you will find as every class has a different theme.
This class will be highly interactive and students will be encouraged to participate and ask questions. Class will begin with a warm up and an opportunity for the students to be creative.Then there will be a discussion where students will have the chance to interact with each other and myself. Finally,  at the end of each class there will be a review game to help students master the material.

Topics include

Monday 10/11- Science of the Moon- Origin of the Moon, Conditions on the Moon, Why does the Moon have Phases?
Thursday 10/14 Plate Tectonics and Volcanoes-  How do the plates move and how do volcanoes for?
Monday 10/18 Bacteria and Viruses- What is a virus? What is a bacteria?
Thursday 10/21 Phases of Matter- What is a solid, a liquid and a gas?
Monday 10/25 Dinosaurs- What kinds of creatures roamed the Earth long ago?
Thursday 10/28  Seasons- Why do we have seasons?
Monday 11/1 Electricity- Where does electricity come from?
Thursday 11/5 Reptiles- What makes an animal a reptile?
