Don't be suspicious, don't be suspicious! Come build community and be a part of our weekly hang out and play Among Us with a safe group of Outschoolers, in this ongoing class. Each class will begin with a short discussion about ourselves, the rules, and using problem solving skills to determine the impostor. Please have more than one device so that we can continue to chat in the Outschool class while playing on another device. One of those devices must already have the app "Among Us" downloaded to it. Please note that the game automatically selects who acts as the impostor. I do not have the ability to control this aspect of the game. With that in mind, there is a possibility that your student may not get a chance to be the impostor. This will be an awesome way for students to play a fun game while building community with other Outschool students! This class requires a minimum of 4 students per class. If the minimum is not reached, this class will be cancelled.

Parental Guidance
Among Us is a game that does have some cartoon violence when the Impostor eliminates one of the crew mates. It would also be good to discuss the importance of good sportsmanship (winning or losing) with your student before they begin. There is a free version of the game but it includes ads, some that may not be appropriate for your student, to avoid those ads there is also a paid version that is around $4-5 dollars.
Supply List
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses Among Us - PC, Among US - Google Play, Among Us - Mobile, and Among Us - STEAM.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have 10 years teaching experience. I taught for 4 years in Texas for a traditional "brick and mortar" and have taught the past 6 years in a virtual environment in Tennessee. I have been certified to teach Middle School in both Texas and Tennessee.
When I became a teacher, I made the commitment to be the teacher I always wanted; an engaging teacher that connected with students and had fun while doing it. I love using humor and music in my class, and really enjoy helping students learn to love to learn.
I have 10 plus years of video-making experience and have made several parodies for the schools I have worked for to help engage students to content or just for fun.
