Welcome to Mr. B and the Green Screen. In this course, we will touch on what a green screen is and how it can add a bit of professionalism and fun to your home made videos. We will also make an inexpensive green screen and learn how to use the keying (green screen) feature in some of the popular apps. This is a beginners course, for those with little to know experience on the Green Screen. My name is Stephen Blackwell and I have been teaching in the public school system for 8 years and love bringing a humorous perspective to help engage students in learning. I have created music videos to teach content, parody videos to encourage and help students relax before a test, and even made a video that helped my school win a $100,000 grant for Educational Technology. You will love this class, and walk away with a new skill to take your filmmaking to the next level. Can't wait to see you in class.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to walk away from my class and create a video using a green screen.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have 10 years teaching experience. I taught for 4 years in Texas for a traditional "brick and mortar" and have taught the past 6 years in a virtual environment in Tennessee. I have been certified to teach Middle School in both Texas and Tennessee.
When I became a teacher, I made the commitment to be the teacher I always wanted; an engaging teacher that connected with students and had fun while doing it. I love using humor and music in my class, and really enjoy helping students learn to love to learn.
I have 10 plus years of video-making experience and have made several parodies for the schools I have worked for to help engage students to content or just for fun.
