Assessments Offered
Learner progress in the Movie Kids Workshop will be assessed informally through teacher observation, feedback, and guidance provided throughout the course, with a focus on individualized instruction and support to help each student achieve their unique movie-making goals.
Grades Offered
They will need access to iMovie software or an alternative video editing software of their choice. If they don't have access to iMovie, I will provide alternative video editing software options for them. There are no additional materials or costs required for this class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- I often use google docs and Jamboard to share templates with students. Learners do not need a google account for this class. If your child does not already have a google account, I can share templates in PDF form instead.
- At times, we may use Kahoot to reinforce filmmaking terms, which does not require a subscription.
-If your child needs help with editing, I generally teach using iMovie because of its simplicity. iMovie is only available on apple devices and does not require an account. I can also guide learners in using any other editing apps they are already using.

The Movie Kids Workshop does not require the use of any specific books, articles, websites, or other sources beyond the course materials and teacher-provided resources. Any resources or materials provided by the teacher will be available within the Outschool platform and will comply with Outschool's class content policy. If students would like to research additional information on movie-making, they may do so on their own, but this is not required for the class.
