What Will Be Taught? In a fun class that anyone can drop into we will be discussing our favorite movies or movies we have seen recently. This is a fun opportunity for the students to share their passions and are encouraged to share their thoughts in a safe space. No hate in this class! We will have positive and intellectual discussions on various age appropriate films. I will encourage the students to also look for a deeper meaning in all of the films and not just focus on the surface level....
Social skills. How to look for themes and deeper meaning in movies.
Not required but the students might find it best if they have watched a movie in the past week so it is fresh in their minds for discussion.
A subscription to Netflix to be able to watch some of the various movies we watch in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
Some of the films that are watched and talked about will be PG-13. The class is for 13 and above but I'm simply stating that there will some films that have violence, a few bad words, etc.
