These artists research, design, make, and purchase costumes and props worn by the actors. They make sure that the props and wardrobe reflect the story being told by the director and portray each character's personality, culture, age, status, and relationship. In this class, students will learn how costume designers bring a character to life through clothing and accessories. They'll participate in storytelling exercises, a creative character scavenger hunt, and draw "preliminary sketches" for the main character of their very own story idea!
