Movement Yoga will be taught in a structured manner where the student will learn how to practice yoga and incorporate play into the practice. The class will begin with meditation, breathing practices, and gentle stretching. From breathing, meditation, ad gentle stretching we will move into warm-up poses (cat, cow pose ) and standing, balancing poses, once the students are warmed up and stretched we will begin to transition to a variation of dancing warrior poses, and movement. Students will learn the practice of yoga in a fun and playful way. In each class, we will learn new poses and how the student can practice yoga on and off the mat.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be practicing a series of yoga poses, students will need an open workout space (enough room to stretch out both arms) A water bottle if needed Parental supervision is requested if you feel that is necessary.
