30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this high-energy, fun, and engaging ongoing course, your learner will say bye-bye to screen time and get his/her body moving in a 30 minute workout while learning and growing his/her brain. I will walk your learner through each exercise move (warm up, stretches, more complex exercise movements, cool down) so that your learner knows exactly what to do. No previous experience is required! Some examples of the exercise/workout moves that may be done are (but not limited to) jumping jacks, running in place, skipping, squatting, marching, reaching, lunging, dancing, stretching, etc. Each week during the workout camp, I will focus on a learning theme. The learning themes will be incorporated into the exercise movements. For example, if the week's theme is the alphabet, we will perform exercise/workout movements that incorporate the letters of the alphabet or we may move the body in a certain way to go and find letters of the alphabet, etc. Your learner will be encouraged to participate by naming letters, numbers, and shapes, etc. They may be asked to find a particular item in the house but it is always okay if your learner cannot find that item (I will always have extra items to use in those instances). Week 2/2: Following Silly Directions Week 2/9: Uppercase and Lowercase Letters Week 2/16: Numbers 1-10 Week 2/23: 2D Shapes Week 3/2: 3D Shapes Week 3/9: Sight Words Week 3/16: No Class Week 3/23: Fruits Week 3/30: Vegetables Please have your learner come to class in clothes that are comfortable to move in. Your learner is going to have so much fun, all while moving their body and growing their brain. If your learner has any physical/medical limitations, please consult with your doctor prior to engaging in this class to ensure optimal safety.
