Class Experience

Students will learn about the colour wheel and how to mix paints to make other colours. How to draw with a chalk pencil, the scene they wish to create. We will be doing much more layers of dots, this will make the depth of the pictue more detailed than in other classes.
I have taught this painting technique to people from 9 to 30 year's old for the last two years.
I have done dozens of these types of paintings. I have sold many at craft sales.
The first week the canvas must be painted black at least one day before the class. First day we will be drawing the picture as a group. The class will try and dot paint the first coat of the sky and mountain's. Before the next class they will be doing additional painting, as we need to wait for paint to dry. there might be 1 hour of paint at home before the next class. With the use of diffrent colours and textures the pictures will never look the same as one that has been done before. Each week there will be home work on youur project. Back and white will be your friend.
Round tools for dots (chopsticks, knitting needles or any stick with flat round ends) With this you shuld have a set oof Dot Painting tools. Protected table surface ( Paint on a flat space) Craft Acrylic paint:I like folkArt / colors required, black & white, blue, purple ( dark is best we can add white to make lighter) 3 diffrent greens, a orange, yellow but not to bright as well as 2 diffrent browns. colours you think you would see on a mountain range.
