Class Experience

Calling yoga enthusiasts and meditation beginners alike!

In this ongoing club course, students will meet before school for a short yoga and meditation session to start the day off right! We will begin with breathing exercises and mantra meditation before I lead yoga combinations and stretches. I will guide students through modifications and answer questions about the technique.

The focus will be to get the body moving and get student's minds ready to learn, either in person or virtually. By starting the day with intentional goals and healthy mindfulness, students can be calm and confident in their learning environment. 

No prior experience required and all fitness levels are encouraged to join! I am a yoga and fitness lover who loves helping students form healthy learning and living habits.

Hi there! I have 8 years of tutoring experience helping students achieve their goals in English and Math. I teach many test preparation courses for the SAT and ACT, as well as essay writing, reading comprehension, algebra and geometry tutoring, and organization. I also have some book clubs for readers to build a community around a love of reading. 

I aim to help students feel calm and confident in their school environment. I focus on empowering students to tackle problems themselves and want to provide as many learning tools as possible so that my students succeed. I enjoy working with parents and teachers to help students achieve their greatest potential with positive encouragement, achievable goals, and flexible strategies.

I have an honors degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and frequently work with education consultants as a supplemental essay editor to help students write effective and personal essays. 

In my spare time, I love cooking and baking, going to the gym, or curling up with a good book and a cup of tea.
