This course will be a fun circle time/morning meeting experience. I will teach this online circle time just like I would in a school classroom. Students will learn letters, numbers and colors through songs, games and reading. Students will be exposed to alphabet, phonics, high frequency words, numbers, weather, calendar and literacy activities. I will present a slide show during the circle time for students to gain print awareness while we sing and talk. I have been a teacher for 24 years and circle time was my favorite teaching method to see the most growth in young learners. We will have class 3 days a week, but students are welcome to attend as they please.
Learning Goals
Students will be exposed to the alphabet, phonetic sounds and sight words. They will also learn about days of the week and calendar awareness. We will do literacy activities, math and counting, colors, and weather.
