Description

Class Experience

Students will learn letter names and sounds, numbers up to 20 (and beyond!), colors, emotions, geography
Students will be asked to assimilate the information they've learned by bringing in show and tell items to class. On day 2 of the class, students should bring an item that starts with the same letter as the letter of the week (for example, on week 1, students can bring an apple to class). On day 3 of the class, students should bring the number of items to class as the number of the week (on week 1 the student can bring one of something). On day 4 of the class, students should bring an item with the color of the week (on week 1 the students can bring something red to class).
Students should keep a supply box with coloring items (pencils or crayons), pencils, paper, play-doh, Legos (or other manipulatives) and glue. There will be weekly handouts that will need to be printed for the week. I may occasionally ask for other items to be used in class.
Students will be given an opportunity to show me on the 4th day of the week what they have learned.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students may need to use scissors at times during class. It is recommended that parental supervision be given during those times.
