I have been teaching comprehensive sex education for 18 years to high school students in a Pennsylvania public school. I am a certified Health and Physical Education teacher and have a B.S. in Kinesiology and an M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning. I teach research based and fact based comprehensive sex education. Research shows that comprehensive sex education prepares learners to make healthful decision and does not encourage engagement in sexual behaviors or increase teen pregnancy (Kirby, 2013). My classroom is a judgement and shame free environment where all learners feel safe. Teaching comprehensive sex education is a responsibility that I take very seriously. Learners deserve a person and place where they can feel safe and learn valuable information about their bodies.
Paper and writing utensil
This class is based on research-based and fact-based sex education. It includes internal and external diagrams of the female reproductive anatomy. It will NOT include any content or discussion on sexual behaviors.
