Class Experience Some make think sharks are one of the coolest animals on Earth, they are also one of the most misunderstood. In this one-time class, students will learn some of the basics from sharks, as they are different, how they hunt for food, what they eat, and some interesting fun facts. This class is a basic overview of sharks but does not go into advanced discussions that may be too much for the learner. Therefore, this class is not necessarily geared towards learners with advanced knowledge of sharks. Some sharks that will be mentioned at some point in this class include: 1) Ghost Shark 2) Goblin Shark 3) Horned Shark 4) Frilled Shark 5) Saw Shark 6) Megalodon Vs. Mosasaurus Learners will get a chance to ask questions and tell of their experiences or knowledge if any with the class. I teach to the least knowledgable learner, meaning, If your learner is not in the age range, I will still accept them. Students will learn or improve their knowledge about the different sharks mentioned in the description, what makes them different, description, weight, what they eat, and where they may be found in the oceans of the world.
Learning Goals
This class will be more of a lecture-style (yet interactive) class with a PowerPoint, photos, some personal video footage or photos with sharks, and fascinating facts about these amazing creatures. We will have conversations about these animals and students are encouraged to ask questions and discuss.
