Class Experience
“More Social Skills” is an extension course for my course “Conversations, How to Know What to Say, Ages 8-12.” Your child can take these classes in any order. Social Skills are important to help students succeed in school and as adults. In this 3-week class, we will practice a different social skill each day. We will cover topics such as active listening, getting along with family members, manners, digital etiquette, self-esteem, and an introduction to conflict management. Class will start...
As a school counselor for over 16 years, I have taught classroom lessons and held many social skills groups with typical and special education students. I have seen that most interpersonal problems can be resolved by learning how to communicate better.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
